Meet the Breeder:
     Chris Calabrese

Chris is a lifelong dogman. As a young child, he spent his summers working for his Aunt, an AKC breeder of merit of Siberian Huskies. His first personal dog, Dozer, was a Boxer who sparked his love for working mastiff breeds. When he later met his first Cane Corso it was an instant obsession, and the passion behind DiCalabrese Cane Corsos was born. In 2017 Chris was able to acquire our foundation female, Mia Valentina. In the short time since, DCCC has already produced 2 AKC Conformation Champions and an AKC Conformation Grand Champion. Our dogs have achieved titles in IGP, dock diving,  barn hunt, rally, and trick training. Chris is also an active member of the Cane Corso Association of America (CCAA) and serves as a member of the Sports & Performance Committee.

In addition to running the breeding and whelping operations of DiCalabrese Cane Corso, Chris is an active competitor in bitesports, with a focus on IGP in his personal dogs. He works as a professional dog trainer and decoy, and accepts board and train and private lesson clients on a limited basis.

We would like to thank our mentors for their continued support of DiCalabrese Cane Corsos. Thank you to Jennifer Costantinidis and Betty Jo Pyle of Dun Roman Great Danes for their tireless knowledge of breeding and whelping and their handling of our AKC conformation specials. Thank you to Oscar Mora of Elevated Canine Academy for his tutelage in protection and sport dog training, and his wealth of knowledge on the Cane Corso breed.
